Invitation proof checklist
A short final review helps catch details that are easy to overlook when you have been editing the same invitation for a long time.
Names and family wording
Check the spelling of every name, all family titles and the order of hosts. Look for leftover sample names such as Friedman and any details you copied from another invitation. Ask another person to read the proof independently.
Date and location
Confirm the weekday, Hebrew date, civil date, parsha where relevant and the time. Check the venue name, street number, city, apartment and entrance instructions. Make sure separate parts of the celebration have their own correct times.
Design and readability
View the whole invitation, then zoom in on the smallest text. Look for clipped letters, text crossing the artwork, uneven alignment and lines that are too close together. Check Hebrew punctuation and English numbers.
Files and sharing
After purchase, open the actual downloaded file and review it once more. Send a test to yourself before sharing with guests. If printing, ask the printer to confirm size, resolution and bleed requirements. Keep your purchased project’s access information so you can return to it.
